Purpose, legal basis, recipient categories, storage duration of data processing

Purpose: Presentation of the company and provision of services and/or sale of products, as well as communication via the internet

The purpose of data processing on this website is to provide information about our company’s products and services, and to enable users to get in touch with contact partners at our company in a targeted manner.

In addition, we process personal data pursuant to the following legal provisions:

  • Article 6, section 1, letter a GDPR for processing personal data with the data subject’s consent.
  • Article 6, section 1, letter b GDPR for necessary processing of personal data for fulfilling a contract with the data subject and for taking corresponding pre-contractual measures.
  • Article 6, section 1, letter c GDPR for necessary processing of personal data for complying with a legal duty we may be subject to based on any applicable laws of the EU or any applicable laws of a country in which the GDPR applies fully or in part.
  • Article 6, section 1, letter f GDPR for necessary processing of personal data for safeguarding our legitimate interests or those of third parties, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms and interests of the data subject do not prevail. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest to operate our website, information security, asserting our own legal claims and compliance with other legal provisions.

In the context of service provision we use service providers who are obliged to observe confidentiality and data protection. Data is only passed on to authorities if overriding legal provisions apply. No data is passed on in any third states.

A connection to your browser is established when you visit the website. The information collected that is indicated below is stored temporarily as system files and is captured automatically: IP address of your device, date and time of access, name and URL of files retrieved, website from which you accessed the page or from which you were referred (referrer URL), browser used and possibly your device’s operating system and the name of your provider.

The listed data is processed by us to allow for a connection to be established smoothly and to ensure system security. The arising connection data is erased automatically, usually after no more than seven days. If the website is misused, log data that must be stored as evidence will be kept until the incident has been clarified.

Use of cookies

This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow for your use of the website to be analysed. The information about your use of this website that is generated by cookies is used to analyse the user behaviour on our website and to improve the information we provide. The legal basis for this type of data processing is article 6, section 1, letter f GDPR (legitimate interests). Optimisation of the online presence is considered a legitimate interest. The information obtained is intended for internal statistical analysis only, and is not disclosed to any third parties. The cookies are deleted after two years. You can prevent cookies from being installed by making the corresponding settings in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website if you do so. Any data is collected in anonymised form, the collected data cannot be related to you personally.

Contact form

If you get in touch via our contact form, your data from the form is processed for handling your query. The legal basis for transmission of the data to us is consent granted according to article 6, section 1, letter a GDPR. However, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The data is then erased. Provided that no retention duties apply for your query (e.g. if an order is placed), the data is erased after three years. Your data is passed on internally to the contact person in charge of processing your query. Your data is not disclosed to any third parties without your approval.

Web analysis with Google Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service provider Google Analytics. The operator of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
Cookies are used for this purpose, which allow for the use of the website by its visitors to be analysed. The generated information is transmitted to the provider’s server in the United States of America, where it is stored.
You can prevent this by setting up your browser to not save any cookies.

Your IP address is recorded, but it is pseudonymised immediately to allow for rough localisation only. The relationship to the web analysis service provider is based on the EU-US Privacy Shield framework and is in line with data protection provisions. Data processing takes place based on the legal provisions of article 6, section 1, letter a (consent) and/or letter f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest in the sense of the GDPR is to improve our services and our online presence. All user data is pseudonymised, as we are committed to protecting our users’ privacy. The Google Analytics component is used to analyse the visitor flow on our website. Google uses the data and information obtained, for example, for analysing the use of our website, for preparing online reports illustrating the activities on our internet pages, and for providing services related to using our website.

Your right of access, rectification, erasure, objection and data portability

You can exercise your right of access, rectification and erasure of data at any time. Just contact us as outlined above. If you would like for your data to be erased, while we are still legally bound to retain it, access to your data will be restricted (blocked). The same rule applies in case of an objection. You can exercise your right of data portability, provided that this is technically possible for us and the recipient.
