One of the main fields of activity for the mineral building materials laboratory is performing strength tests. These tests are conducted as part of research projects in which new, innovative building materials are being developed, as well as in initial and confirmation testing. The tests are also used to evaluate the strengths of structures (tests on test specimens taken from the structure).
