Testing of burglar resistance in accordance with EN 1627:2011

We perform standardised test procedures at our test centre in accordance with EN 1627:2011 in order to determine the resistance of your doorsets, windows, curtain walls, grilles and shutters against break-in attempts.

In all test procedures, the aim is to achieve a certain resistance class (RC 1 to RC 6), which indicates the level of resistance against break-in attempts. The various resistance classes that are specified in the standard take into account break-ins by opportunist thieves as well as by experienced and professional burglars.

We perform the following tests at our laboratory in accordance with EN 1627:2011:

  • Determination of the resistance under static load in accordance with EN 1628:2011
  • Determination of the resistance under dynamic load in accordance with EN 1629:2011
  • Determination of the resistance against manual break-in attempts in accordance with EN 1630:2011

The MFPA Leipzig GmbH test laboratory is accredited by DAkkS GmbH to perform this procedure. You can find the certificate here.
