Self-supporting double-skin metal-faced insulating panels

MFPA Leipzig GmbH is recognised, accredited and notified in Germany as a testing body for self-supporting double-skin metal-faced insulating panels in accordance with DIN EN 14509. In this context, Working Group 2.1 conducts tests to determine the mechanical properties and prepares the initial type test required for CE marking.

Our services

We offer the following services for the preparation of an initial type test (ITT) for self-supporting double-skin metal-faced insulating panels:

Mechanical tests in accordance with DIN EN 14509

  • Transverse tensile strength and modulus of transverse tension (including at elevated temperatures)
  • Compressive strength and modulus of compression
  • Shear strength and shear modulus
  • Flexural torque capacity and wrinkle stress
  • Determination of creep coefficient
  • Testing the load-bearing capacity against point loads and repeated stresses
  • Interaction between flexural torque and supporting force
  • Determination of the core density of the core material
  • Determination of durability as part of the temperature test DUR 1
  • Determination of durability as part of the damp test DUR 2
  • Adhesive bond between the facing and prefabricated core material (wedge test)
