The measurement of thermal resistance of masonry walls according to DIN EN 1934 is one of our accredited test procedures.
For testing, test specimens measuring approx. 1.5 m x 1.5 m are built up and conditioned in our air-conditioned test room. Wall thicknesses of up to 42.5 cm can be tested. A drying chamber (up to 105 °C) and a platform scale (up to 1500 kg, resolution 50 g) are available for further sample preparation.

Additional services for masonry/bricks
In parallel, further thermal, mechanical, hygric or acoustic tests can be carried out in our laboratories on the masonry or on the masonry components used, e.g.
- Measurement of the thermal conductivity of the masonry units used
- Determination of the compressive strength of storey-high masonry walls under centric and eccentric loading
- Measurement of airborne and impact sound insulation of walls
- Fire resistance tests on masonry walls
- Material properties of individual components of the masonry (bricks and mortar)
